This policy explains the categories of information ArtAuctionDirectory collects and how that information is used, shared, retained, and protected.
Information we collect
We collect information you submit, including names, contact details, organization information, auction listings, consignment descriptions, estimated-value ranges, messages, account credentials, plan selections, and payment status. Stripe and PayPal process payment-card or account details; we do not intentionally store complete payment credentials.
We may also collect device, browser, IP address, referral source, pages viewed, approximate location, timestamps, and cookie or analytics identifiers.
How information is used
We use information to operate and secure the service; publish and review listings; respond to messages; match consignors with potentially suitable professionals; process plans and placements; communicate service updates; measure performance; prevent fraud; enforce terms; and comply with law.
How information is shared
Public listing information is displayed publicly. Consignment and contact information may be shared with auction houses or specialists when needed to evaluate or respond to a requested match. Information may also be shared with hosting, database, email, analytics, security, Stripe, PayPal, and professional advisers; during a business transaction; or when legally required.
We do not promise that a submission will remain confidential after you authorize matching or public listing. Do not submit highly sensitive information, financial-account numbers, government identifiers, passwords, or confidential provenance documents through general forms.
Choices and rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, or removal from marketing by contacting info@artauctiondirectory.com. Rights vary by location and may be subject to identity verification and legal exceptions. Browser settings can limit cookies, though parts of the service may function differently.
Retention, security, and international use
Information is retained as reasonably necessary for the purposes described, legal compliance, disputes, fraud prevention, and business records. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is completely secure.
The service is operated for a United States launch. If you access it elsewhere, information may be processed in the United States or other locations where service providers operate.
Children and updates
