Listing Verification Methodology

Verification is a limited review of selected directory information—not an endorsement, license, appraisal, or guarantee.

These materials are a practical starting point and are not a substitute for review by an attorney familiar with the company, data practices, locations served, and commercial relationships.

What may be reviewed

Depending on the listing and available evidence, we may review organization identity, website and domain, public contact details, physical or service location, auction activity, stated specialties, professional affiliations, and the submitter’s authority to manage the profile.

Verification standards may differ by listing type and jurisdiction. A badge reflects the checks completed at a point in time and does not promise continuing accuracy.

What verification does not mean

Verification does not guarantee licensing, financial condition, expertise, inventory, attribution, authenticity decisions, condition reports, insurance, cybersecurity, customer service, bidding practices, shipping, legal compliance, or transaction outcomes.

Collectors and consignors must conduct their own due diligence and confirm all material terms directly with the auction house and qualified independent professionals.

Updates, disputes, and stale profiles

Profiles may show a last-reviewed date. We may request periodic confirmation, label a listing unverified, limit visibility, merge duplicates, correct errors, or remove stale or misleading information.

Report a concern to info@artauctiondirectory.com with the profile URL and supporting evidence. We may contact the listed organization and preserve audit records of material changes.
